Betsie Ten Boom

Betsie Ten Boom was a very faithful woman who loved everybody and never loooked at other people as evil. She prayed for the Nazi soldiers that wore her spirit down day after day after day. Betsie even prayed for the fleas in the consentration camps. She was so thankful for the things around her. Everyone loved to be around her because she was so loving.

I love Heaven

June 28, 1940

I have come face to face with the Lord all mighty. I love it here. It is the best place ever. I see papa and all of my Jewish friends. This beats Earth by a ton.

The Hiding Place

May 20, 1938

I am sorry I haven't been able to write for a while. The Nazi soldiers have been treating me like I am worth nothing. At least I can be thankful for something like the fleas. If it weren't for those little guys I probebly would have not been able to preach the bible with most of my cellmates. I love that I can talk about the Bible with my new friends. This is what I am thankful for.

Hiding Place

May 7, 1937

I am Betsie Ten Boom. I am in a Nazi consentration camp. The food here is horrible. But at least I am getting somethimg to eat. The Nazi soldiers are not very kind to the Jews here. Corrie is holding up prettygood with her health but for me I have a small cold. Before the invasion we were celebrating the watch shops 100th anniversary. I got sick for a while so Corrie had to trade places with me for a while. I had to tell her the names of all the customers. It was a fun time.
